DoD: Source Date Set

September 10, 2005 – 12:31 pm | by Bill

I found this while browsing the internet. It is a transcript of Steve Jobs Stanford graduation speech. Read it. I did, and it I let the words sink in, and it inspired me.

I started up Steam this morning, and was pleasantly surprised by an update. The update news says the following:

Preloading of Day of Defeat: Source will begin next week. It will be released and ready to play on September 26th. Once we get closer to that date, we’ll set an exact time for when we’ll “throw the switch.”

Preloading the game allows people to have the entire game on their hard drive in encrypted form so that, if already purchased or pre-ordered, it will be playable at the moment it is released. Dedicated server administrators will also have some time to get their servers up and running before the 26th.

There is also some pretty exciting news on the MOD front, where the team over at Dystopia is preparing to release a demo of their game today at 11:59 GMT. Head on over to the Dystopia page to check out their release

I can’t wait for DoD: Source. I am going to have to upgrade my Steam account to bronze, but this game is going to rock! I just know it. Also, has anyone tried playing this Dystopia game? I went to their website and it looks pretty cool. Here is a funny pic.

Here is a pretty picture of Stonehedge.

Wow. Here is a story about some supposed conspiracy theory about NASA and Mars. It made me think though, about how much we are told, and just believe. What have you been told lately, and just believed? I’ve been told a lot of stuff and just believed it. Some of it in Church, some of it from the news, and some of it from friends.

I too started up Steam this morning…I’m confused. Don’t you need to upgrade to silver? Not bronze? I thought you were already at bronze. :S

Day of Defeat: Source looks pretty awesome. Too bad I’m in the “no money” stage of my life. >_

Oh! You seem to be really into the whole “pretty pics” thing. I don’t know how you feel about Astrophotography (I love it) but here’s an amazing site to browse: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html
